Frontiers in Number Theory, Physics, and Geometry
By: Cartier, Pierre Emile (ed.); Julia, Bernard (ed.); Moussa, Pierre (ed.); Vanhove, Pierre (ed.)
Published by: Springer
The relation between mathematics and physics has a long history, in which the role of number theory and of other more abstract parts of mathematics has become prominent. This book focuses on the broader interface of number theory, geometry, and physics. It is presented in three parts: Conformal Field Theories, Discrete Groups, and Renormalization.

Function Field Arithmetic
By: Thakur, Dinesh S
Published by: World Scientific
This book provides an exposition of function field arithmetic with
emphasis on recent developments concerning Drinfeld modules, the
arithmetic of special values of transcendental functions (such as zeta
and gamma functions and their interpolations), diophantine
approximation and related interesting open problems.

Fundamentals of the Theory of Operator Algebras
By: Kadison, Richard V.
Published by: Academic Press (Elsevier Science & Technology Books)
The goal of this text is to teach operator algebras and lead readers to where the literature - in the subject specifically and in its applications - becomes accessible. The choice of material was made from among the fundamentals of what may be called the "classical" theory of operator algebras.

Generalized Curvatures
By: Morvan, Jean-marie
Published by: Springer
Intends to set the modern foundations of the theory of generalized curvature measures. Following a historical and didactic approach, this book introduces the mathematical background of the subject, curves and surfaces, convex subsets, smooth submanifolds, subsets of positive reach, polyhedra and triangulations, and surface reconstruction.

Geometric Numerical Integration
By: Hairer, Ernst; Lubich, Christian; Wanner, Gerhard
Published by: Springer
Provides information on numerical methods that preserve properties of Hamiltonian systems, reversible systems, differential equations on manifolds and problems with highly oscillatory solutions. This book presents a theory of symplectic and symmetric methods, including composition, splitting, multistep and various specially designed integrators.

Geometry of Numbers
By: Lekkerkerker, C.G.; Gruber, P.M.
Published by: North Holland
This volume contains a fairly complete picture of the geometry of numbers, including relations to other branches of mathematics such as analytic number theory, diophantine approximation, coding and numerical analysis. It deals with convex or non-convex bodies and lattices in euclidean space, etc. This second edition was prepared jointly by P.M. Gruber and the author of the first edition. The authors have retained the existing text (with minor corrections) while adding to each chapter supplementary sections on the more recent developments. While this method may have drawbacks, it has the definite advantage of showing clearly where recent progress has taken place and in what areas interesting results may be expected in the future.
