The Geometry Of Curvature Homogeneous Pseudo-riemannian Manifolds
By: Gilkey, Peter B
Published by: Imperial College Press
Pseudo-Riemannian geometry is an active research field not only in differential geometry but also in mathematical physics where the higher signature geometries play a role in brane theory. An essential reference tool for research mathematicians and physicists, this book also serves as a useful introduction to students entering this active and rapidly growing field. The author presents a comprehensive treatment of several aspects of pseudo-Riemannian geometry, including the spectral geometry of the curvature tensor, curvature homogeneity, and StanilovTsankovVidev theory.

The Geometry of Efficient Fair Division
By: Barbanel, Julius B.; Taylor, Alan D.
Published by: Cambridge University Press
The author focuses exclusively on abstract existence results, rather than algorithms, and on the geometric objects that arise naturally in this context. By examining the shape of these objects and the relationship between them, he demonstrates several results concerning efficiency properties such as Pareto maximality and fairness properties such as envy-freeness for partitions.

The Geometry Of Hessian Structures
By: Shima, Hirohiko
Published by: World Scientific
The geometry of Hessian structures is a fascinating emerging field of research. It is in particular a very close relative of Kählerian geometry, and connected with many important pure mathematical branches such as affine differential geometry, homogeneous spaces and cohomology. The theory also finds deep relation to information geometry in applied mathematics. This systematic introduction to the subject first develops the fundamentals of Hessian structures on the basis of a certain pair of a flat connection and a Riemannian metric, and then describes these related fields as applications of the theory.

The Geometry of Infinite-Dimensional Groups
By: Khesin, Boris E.; Wendt, Robert
Published by: Springer
This monograph gives an overview of various classes of infinite-dimensional Lie groups and their applications in Hamiltonian mechanics, fluid dynamics, integrable systems, gauge theory, and complex geometry. While infinite-dimensional groups often exhibit very peculiar features, this book describes unifying geometric ideas of the theory and gives numerous illustrations and examples, ranging from the classification of the Virasoro coadjoint orbits to knot theory, from optimal mass transport to moduli spaces of flat connections on surfaces. The text includes many exercises and open questions, and it is accessible to both students and researchers in Lie theory, geometry, and Hamiltonian systems.

Geometry of Numbers
By: Lekkerkerker, C.G.; Gruber, P.M.
Published by: North Holland
This volume contains a fairly complete picture of the geometry of numbers, including relations to other branches of mathematics such as analytic number theory, diophantine approximation, coding and numerical analysis. It deals with convex or non-convex bodies and lattices in euclidean space, etc. This second edition was prepared jointly by P.M. Gruber and the author of the first edition. The authors have retained the existing text (with minor corrections) while adding to each chapter supplementary sections on the more recent developments. While this method may have drawbacks, it has the definite advantage of showing clearly where recent progress has taken place and in what areas interesting results may be expected in the future.

The Geometry of Total Curvature on Complete Open Surfaces
By: Shiohama, Katsuhiro; Shioya, Takashi; Tanaka, Minoru; Bollobas, B.; Fulton, W.; Katok, A.; Kirwan, F.; Sarnak, P.
Published by: Cambridge University Press
A self-contained account of how modern differential geometry can be used to tackle and extend classical results in integral geometry. Open problems are provided, and the text is richly illustrated with figures to aid understanding and develop intuition. Suitable for graduate students and non-specialists seeking an introduction to this area.
